PayTrash Environmental & Recycling Education Tour
“Turning Waste into Opportunity Across America”
“To educate and empower communities by transforming how people understand waste—turning it into a resource for energy, opportunity, and environmental change.”
Education
The PayTrash Environmental Education Project is a mobile, community-based learning initiative designed to transform how individuals understand and interact with waste. Through a traveling education unit, the program delivers hands-on demonstrations, interactive learning experiences, and real-world applications of recycling and waste-to-energy systems.
Participants are introduced to the concept of waste as a resource—learning how everyday materials can be diverted from landfills and converted into energy, economic opportunity, and community benefit. The program integrates environmental education with practical life skills, helping individuals develop sustainable habits while exploring emerging pathways for income generation through recycling and resource recovery.
The initiative is specifically designed to serve:
Schools and youth programs
Community Mental Health (CMH) organizations
Group homes and adult day programs
Underserved and reentry populations
By combining education, demonstration, and engagement, PayTrash creates a dynamic learning environment that connects environmental responsibility with personal empowerment.
Mission Statement
The mission of the PayTrash Environmental Education Project is to educate, empower, and inspire communities to view waste as an opportunity—transforming it into energy, economic potential, and sustainable practices that support both people and the planet.
